CDCD

Civic Driven Child Development (CDCD) is about enabling children, adolescents, parents, caretakers, families, schools and communities to act in the best interest of the child.

A process where we try to stimulate people to organize themselves, claim thier rights and take up thier responsibility as a parent, teacher, child and government official.

To apply this CDCD to a specific context, ICS Africa has adopted the Child Rights in School Improvement Programme (CRiSIP) - framework to start CDCD within the school and direct community.

Once the structures, management and planning capacities of people have been build at school level, they can turn thier attention to the broader community and become drivers of Civic Driven Change (CDC).
